Altair Hypercam TEC Cooled 585C 585M Camera HDR Firmware Update v4.5

Updates Altair Hypercam AA585C Colour and AA585M Mono TEC Cooled Camera Firmware to version 4.5, enabling improvements and bug fixes with HDR mode.

Note this application works on Windows 10 and 11 64bit only.

Step by Step Instructions:

Preparation:
Unzip the .ZIP file and extract to a folder on your hard drive. You should see 3 files in the extracted folder. Keep them all in the same folder.
Close all camera control applications and connect the camera with a USB cable DIRECTLY to your PC. DO NOT USE A USB HUB.

Firstly, check the camera is connected in Device Manager:

Click on updatefw.exe in the extracted folder, and ignore Windows warnings - click continue:

Windows may show a warning. Disregard it and click, on "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Windows Defender Step1

Select Target Camera from list for firmware update:

Select the firmware update file CHOOSE MONO OR COLOUR depending on version of camera::

Choose Firmware Package to Update

Confirm Firmware version to update to. The number should be higher than current firmware.

Click "OK" and the camera firmware will be updated. Do not disconnect the camera.
When update is complete, check the firmware FPGA version on the camera by clicking Misc. > About:

Click "OK" and you will see final confirmation screen. Close the application and test the camera in AltairCapture.
